CLOCK MOVEMENT RESTORATION
We have our own in house clockmaker and also use a selected number of specialist outside restorers. We are able to undertake work on all types of antique clock movements and dials from the simplest 20^th century timepieces to the most complex Georgian, or earlier, clocks by eminent makers. All of our work is done painstakingly by hand using sympathetic processes to avoid any intrusive work on historically important clocks. We guarantee our repairs for 12 months.

In addition to overhauling and repairing movements we are also able to reinstate missing areas of movements and to remake, in the style of the original, any severely worn or broken parts.

Colin Buckwell started in the trade in 1964 and has worked in this traditional Kent workshop since 1976 working on numerous important antiques and a large selection of the finest clock cases. Recently Colin has made four individual clock cases in rare woods in the style of Fertbauer, an early Viennese clockmaker. Each one of these has been a commission and in conjunction with input from the client.

Kevin Perry joined Colin in 1999. Kevin trained for four years at the London College of Furniture and in 1984 he started a career as a cabinet maker making handmade furniture, later working for a highly respected antique dealer in Southborough. Kevin can be occasionally found in his spare time at Belmont in Faversham helping out with conservation work on their exemplary collection. Kevin is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.
