CHRISTOPHER GOLLING IN WIEN. AN ELEGANT MONTH DURATION MAHOGANY ROUND TOPPED DACHLUHR. CIRCA 1830.

An extremely elegant Austrian month duration Dachluhr. The round topped case with good original patination has very thin carcass members to the door which always adds to the elegance of the clock.

The backboard is nicely figured and the door and sides of the clock are strung with maplewood stringing.

The month duration timepiece movement is of fine quality and is fixed to the case via a brass mounting plate and keyhole latches. The clock has a deadbeat escapement and the pendulum is steel rod with a large brass bob.

Length: 36" (92 cms.)

Price band: C
