A GOOD ROSEWOOD AND EBONISED GRANDE SONNERIE BIEDERMEIER VIENNA REGULATOR. CIRCA1850.

An unusual grande sonnerie Viennese Biedermeier regulator. The case of rosewood with ebonised mounts and finials and long barley twist columns to the side of the opening front door.

The two piece enamel dial with gilded pie crust bezel and fine blued steel hands. The wood rod pendulum with large brass bob.

The eight day weight driven grande sonnerie movement striking the quarters on gongs. The wheelwork of the usual high quality. The tapering plates with curved top edge with dead beat escapement.
