JOS. RAMMELL IN WIEN. A VERY PRETTY MAHOGANY BIEDERMEIR WALL CLOCK. CIRCA 1850.

The mahogany case has a beautifully carved top pediment and a buttress bottom with carved decoration. The maple strung door has carved decoration surrounding the top part of the dial and a small amount to its lower edge.

The milk glass dial has rich blue numerals and gold decoration at the half hour marks. It is signed below 12 o’clock "Jos. Ramell in Wien". The dial is surrounded with a beautifully decorated pie-crust bezel.

It has an eight day weight driven timepiece movement with dead-beat escapement and a steel rod pendulum.
