NO. 1. This month duration wall regulator, described below, is the first of what will be a limited number of clocks designed and made by ourselves and with input from the customer. During the design and construction process the clients will be included and, within certain parameters, will be able to make the clock a bespoke item and an enjoyable experience. The style of these clocks, which fit in very well with a modern or traditional decor, will follow some of the finest early work by the best Viennese clockmakers, in particular Philipp Fertbauer, Mathias Wibral and Brandl. The complex movements will be made by George de Fossard who did restoration work with us after qualifying with distinction from West Dean College and Colin Buckwell, who has been with us since day one, has made the superb and classic case in our own cabinet workshop. I hope you agree , and these pictures show, that the outcome of this project has produced a clock of the highest quality and if you would like to be involved with further commissions please do not hesitate contact us.

Description.
A month duration wall hanging, seconds beating regulator in a very flat to the wall mahogany seven light case.
The month duration timepiece movement has full calendarwork with indications for day and date and also has a moon dial within the seconds ring. The movement employs Fertbauer’s dead beat escapement where the pallets form an integral part of the top of the pendulum, this dispenses with the normal crutch mechanism thus reducing friction and also reducing the depth required for the movement. The clock also employs Harrison type maintaining power. The movement is fully glass enclosed with underdial work enclosed within a brass canister.

The case is made of solid mahogany and then veneered with lift out and sliding trunk and bottom doors. All the glass panels are strung with gilded brass bead stringing and the case is surmounted by a gilded gallery with gilded brass finials.
The dial is accessed via an engine turned and fire gilded bezel with a convex glass.
Length: 58" (148 cms.)
